IIM Calcutta Ph.D Program
IIM Calcutta’s fellow program is a full time doctoral program that proffers candidates chances for superior research and studies in diverse specializations associated with Management Science. Economics, Human Resource Management, Behavioral Sciences, Marketing, Strategic Management, Management Information Systems, Finance & Control, Public Policy and Management and Operations Management.
The program comprises of two dissimilar phases: A 2 year course work phase, which is chased by a 2-3 year thesis phase in which a scholar writes his doctoral thesis. Eligibility of Fellow Programme in Management
A candidate to the Fellow Program is indispensable to have:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 1st class and must have acquired not less that 50 percent marks in the aggregate in Secondary level or Higher Secondary board
- A final year candidate appearing for Bachelor’s degree exam in Engineering
- Master’s degree exam in any stream can also apply.
Such an applicant, if chosen, will be conditionally acknowledged provided (s)he fulfills all necessities for acquiring the degree before June every year. The Fellow Program of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta is prearranged in 2 phases:
• Coursework phase
• Dissertation phase
The coursework phase comprises of 3 academic terms in each of the 2 years, in addition to a summer project. In the initial year of coursework, the Fellow candidates take courses in diverse management associated streams.
FPM Salary aka Stipend
The Institution grants considerable fiscal and infrastructural assistance to Fellowship candidates. The tuition fee is not charged. As a substitute, each candidate is provided a remuneration that initiates at 20,000 INR per month, and goes upto 24,000 INR per month depending on the candidate’s academic growth.
Along with it, each candidate can benefit from unforeseen event grants of up to 50,000 INR for the 1st year of research, and of up to 20,000 INR per year for succeeding years. The remuneration and contingency grants are provided for 4 years of research, and can be completed for up to 1 subsequent year by signifying acceptable advancement in hypothesis research.
